Mena Goubran
Medical Psychiatrist and psychotherapist
Who I am & What I do
Growing up watching my cousin suffer from autism has influenced me throughout my life. Especially when I saw his parents suffer in communicating with him. I developed a great interest in the sciences, which encouraged me to enter medical school. My medical studies nurtured my desire to excel as a neuropsychiatrist.
One thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and looking toward what is ahead.
I believe that our brain is a powerful machine, stronger than our body and if we keep thinking about the past, we will not see the beautiful moment that we have and we couldn’t plan for our future.
To have been chosen as the only candidate from Africa and the Middle East to receive a scholarship for my master’s degree in neurosciences and neuropsychopharmacology at Bordeaux University – France made me extremely proud. Furthermore, I completed a second master’s degree in Psychiatric Sciences at Montréal University – Canada. These studies come together to form expertise in Neuropsychiatry diseases.
Helping people to have a balanced, beautiful life, is a great, and noble goal. That’s why I try my best to give my patients not only medical treatment, but also good support, a nice smile, and listening carefully, without judging them.
Through my work as a psychiatrist and my studies for more than ten years in France, Canada, and Egypt, and being trilingual, I have developed a great multicultural experience that helps me to work in a team and give optimal service to my patients.
As a Medical Doctor, I do psychological and neurological examinations. Then, in some cases, I order the necessary tests to exclude the possibility of underlying physiological problems before treating the psychological.
I put the appropriate diagnosis of psychological disorders and I start pharmacological treatment accordingly.

About Neuropsychiatry
Hypnosis is a state of mind that everyone can naturally enter so that, for therapeutic purposes, beneficial corrections may be impressed directly onto the subconscious mind.
Hypnotherapy is an effective method by which to treat the sources of various issues, as well as elevate unrecognized potential.

What clients say
Life-changing experience! Even though I wasn’t fully convinced that hypnotherapy was something for me, I decided to give it a try and I am so happy that I did! I was very surprised at how hypnotherapy works and I wish everyone would get the chance to try it with a professional therapist like Lena… Read on…
When I met Lena, I was at the lowest point of my life and the idea of seeking therapy was my last hope and the last card that I ever thought it would help. But I wish I would have realized earlier that this should have been the first step to fix my life.
After our first session that didn’t target the… Read on…
From someone who chain-smoked 6 cigarettes the 10 minutes before my hypnosis session, to someone who hasn’t touched, let alone, thought of having a cigarette in months now, I’m in shock and awe. When a friend recommended Lena to me, I was anxious, I was doubtful, and I was stressed out. But… Read on…
